Being new to the sport, i'm confused about the transition piece. I know the fundamentals or the logic of the transition
but how do you train for it?

By the way, I work next door to All 3 Sports. I walk over there all the time. Just another hook for me. I will be passing right by there.
what time are you going to be there, maybe we can follow each other.

I'm so excited to meet everyone. Beginner gitters I guess.

Tonya, the transition run, I think, is just a run off the bike. It's a way to get used to (or fix) your run coming off the bike part of a triathlon. And since some people have clipless pedals, they'll have to change shoes, thus another way to practice a transition.

It's definitely sounding like a fun field trip across town!  We even get to participate in a mini-triathlon with an IHOP transition break.  Cool...

Hey, I am so excited. I have been packing/cleaning for 2 days- ready for swimming.

I was in SuperTarget last night ( say it with me- TaaarJey) and they had a few brightly colored Speedo caps left. Does anyone want me to get one? ( 5 bucks, I think). Glad to know that we are planning a trip to all3sports, as I have a small list.

I will check back later to see if anyone is needs a cap...

Thank you all for showing up. It was great day for a swim - except for the kid fishtailing close to where we were swimming. Good wave practice though! It was really awesome to meet more BTers. Have a great Fourth!
