Comments: The 4 weeks prior to the race, I ran a total of 20 mins which was 2 days before the race, so I wasn't expecting any miracles. The first 3-4 kms where a warmup, I took advantage of the downhill to bump up my pace, and then pick it up for the last 3 kms. Last thing I wanted to do was injure myself do to lack of training/fitness. What would you do differently?: I reached my goal time so I'm happy with that. Wouldn't change anything. Post race

Nothing special. Had 1 cup of oatmeal w/ skim milk @ 5:15 AM with a glass of water. Took a 5-Hr Energy shot at 7 AM, then a eLoad gel at 8 AM. Race started at 8:30 instead of the scheduled 8:15.
Since I wasn't planning any PRs today, I just used the beginning of the race as a warmup.
