This is not natural evolution of a converstion. It's the usual suspects hijacking a thread to push it the way they want because if they are not happy, no one should be. And it's not an isolated case. Word |

Don't you think it's perfectly natural, in a group with mixed political beliefs, that a conversation extolling the virtue of one would be rebutted by the other?

Word That's funny seems to me it grew this way out of a question posited by BFD who is extremely happy. The evolution was pretty organic if you ask me. But then again some people will snipe you where ever you are and what ever you say. They just wait for an opportunity to be nasty even when they are not part of the conversation.

Word After SEVEN pages... any thread is going to wander away from the OP. Nature of the Internet bulletin board.

There is difference between a group discussion and hijacks. There some conversations I just leave to the people because it's THEIRS. I'm not going to jump into every conversation my wife has about performing/acting with her friends just to disagree. If people are talking about how they are happy the Oakland Raiders won, I'm not going to jump it to tell them, as a Bronco fan, how the Raiders suck. If a friend won a race and was talking about it, I'm not going to jump in and tell them how they could have been faster. If I lose a volleyball game to another team, I shake their hand and say congrats, not tell them they suck and we had a bad day. Or MAYBE, you go talk to a "friend" about how stressed you are about recently getting diagnosed with cancer and staring at medical bankruptcy to pay for it becuase of crazy circumstances and insurance laps. Maybe just s LITTLE understanding and a kind word about how things will work out, not a lecture about how Obama care is unfair and no one should be entitiled. Maybe I'm he kind of guy that let's people have their moment, even if I don't agree.

How exactly is it a hijack to go from discussing who is happy about the election to the demographics of said election? As for the rest of it would you care to show me where I said anything about the outcome sucking? In this thread, I have kept my personal opinion, about the outcome of the election, to myself.
