Age Group Rank = 213/425
Pre-race routine:

Arrive at Wild World of Sports at 7:30pm. Stand around for 2.5 hours until race start.
Event warmup:

  • 2h 26m 6s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 09s  min/mile

Started out running with Lisa. This was working great but I had to pee shortly after the start, found an empty Porta around mile 2 and make a quick stop. Plan was to catch up with Lisa... well, some how I missed her and she missed seeing my bright green shirt with a big RIT Tiger on the back of it. Spent the rest of the race borrowing cell phones and trying to figure out where she was at.
What would you do differently?:

Take my own cell phone. Have a better plan to find her (ie. Say, if we don't catch up by mile 4. Just wait at mile 4.)
Post race
Warm down:

Waited to find Lisa in the finish area and then walked to "Canada" to sample some food.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Extra weight right now and not enough training.

Event comments:

Only downside we had for this race was that the 'contract' bus and driver got lost going back to our hotel. It took an hour to get from Epcot to Caribbean Beach.

Overall the race is great, though Animal Kingdom is on the dark side and not much to see there. Hollywood and Epcot were great. Run between the places wasn't bad, some characters and such between areas.
