Aloha! Plenty of hiking around the big island yesterday and today. Flying back to Oahu tonight, hoping to get into some sort of running schedule until my New Year's 10k.

So missed my second day yesterday, on the couch with various maladies that favor the over eater. Anyways, got 30 in today. So I got 70k to go to meet my goal for the month, 3 whole days to do it in. Wish me luck please.

I'm still here and still streaking!  We scooted out of town the day after Christmas before the east coast snow storm hit, so we missed all the snow but we've sure had a lot of rain and wind up here in Cape Cod.

I want to thank all of you for the encouragement to keep at this.  I know if it hadn't been for this challenge, I would have let a run slide here and there with all the holiday hustle and bustle (and stress!).  I haven't run quite as many miles as I had hoped (training for a March marathon), but if nothing else I've been out there consistently so that should give me a good base as I ramp up the miles and go back to my Fridays off!

Kim - Hawaii sounds awesome!

Off to update the spreadsheet now...

My 7 mile run today put me over 100 miles for the month. I hope everyone is doing well, especially Kim with her surfing and sun.

Yeah. Poor thing. We have another winter storm blowing in. Tomorrow is going to be challenging. Maybe I will finally get to try out my yax trax. I ran 3.7 miles this afternoon. It was warm 45F, but incredibly windy, so it was tough.

Thanks BigDH for putting this challenge together.  I ran EVERY day!!! I am a fairly new runner if I can call myself a runner.  I have had IT band issues and shin splints in the past and right now my legs feel GREAT.  Running every day even if it is just 1 mile (the 1 mile runs were supposed to be my rest days), has made running fun and enjoyable. I think I may continue to run every day.

Again BigDH, thanks for putting this challenge together and creating good habits in all of us, it has really helped me!!!

BTW, I thought the challenge ended today (1/1/13) so I got up and ran 4.5 miles today...yeah!

Great work. I am planning to run today, and Kim has a 10k in Hawaii. Is that today?

Hello! Just finished a terrific 10k in 60 minutes flat on the south shore if Oahu, very happy with that time as it was a verrrrrry hilly course! Thus ends our streak! Thank you all for being a part of the challenge, it kept me moving-it kept us all moving ! Yay us!!! Happy 2013 to all my streaker friends and thanks again for the camraderie!

Happy New Year Streakers!  I made it despite some crazy wind!  Ran 5.25 miles to cap it off this morning.  I am planning to take tomorrow off (we're driving home from Cape Cod).  Thanks to all of you for all of the encouragement and have a great year!

Hey everyone. And thanks for keeping this group going. I know I started it but I was hardly a frequent poster and I slacked on the spreadsheet at the end as well. I can't tell you how much it meant to me knowing that everyone was out there giving it their all.

I started this out of purely selfish motivations, I had to hit 16km a day (that is a far cry from my roughly 11.8km a day that I was averaging until November 12th) from November 12 until the end of the year to hit my mileage goal. I knew if I brought a couple more people along for the ride I would have a better chance to make it.

I did it, and i owe a lot of it to you guys. Thank you so much. And congratulations for all your achievements.

Great job, Darren! Congratulations on reaching your goal. Thanks for getting the group started. I'm going to keep the streak going for as long as I am able. I have learned to appreciate my short, easy runs.
