Comments:

Decided to do the 5k instead of the 10k as Keifer was waiting for me in the car and I wanted more time at the post-race as it was sooo much fun!

I lined up with the 5K racers and off we went. I wanted to just have fun and not worry about trying to PR, in face I didn't even set my watch on the chron mode or check what time I crossed to starting mat! It was fun just to run and look at everyone's costumes! There were people dressed in Double Dare outfits from the TV show, Mario brothers, a guy dressed as Eliot from ET, Pac Man, Richard Simmons, tons of neon, Magnum PI...they all had Aloha shirts with mustaches, guys on roller skates.....I just smiled and laughed my way through the course!

It was fun racing "naked"! Wound up finishing about 2 minutes slower than my 5K PR, but enjoying the experience of just having FUN!

Warm down:

Went back to the car and got Keifer, enjoyed the 80s Cover band!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Have not been doing any speed work, just building base.
