Another tragic death of a cyclist and father of three.  Andrew Pray, 31, of Dallas was hit by a charter bus on U.S. 41 bear Red Top Mountain.

Correction - That was a Paulding resident in Bartow county.  Here's a link to tje AJC article.

Apparently Andrew used to live on Atlanta's southside until he moved to Dallas 2 years ago.  He was also a recent Team Mission Source cycling team member.

Very sad. Prayers for him and his family.

I drive the stretch of road he was killed on almost every day. The site of his death was marked with a white bicycle, second one I've seen along hwy 41, actually within a couple of miles of the first. I would assume the other marked another fatality, although I didn't hear of that one. Pretty sobering to have two so close together. 

Doubt I'll be riding anywhere but on my trainer or the Silver Comet, outside of an actual race.

Driver of the bus is being charged with either vehicle man/homicide. This accident has changed my feelings of road riding around here. These people, drivers, do not pay attention. As a husband and father, I ask myself is it worth it. In the hopes of being stronger in the hills or shaving some time off a race? Y'all be safe girls & guys.
