SO, just tried on the quintana roo wetsuit I ordered on ebay. It fits like a (tight) glove- which is so lucky considering its from ebay.

It was hilarious trying to get it off. I had my nine year old daughter helping me and we were laughing so hard. She kept saying, "getting this off is really part of your race- they are timing this...mom you will lose!" It took us well over 8 minutes...and I see that is a terrible T1 time (not to mention that I wouldn't have done anything else yet- like bike shoes).

So, I have heard of body glide- but am curious as to EXACTLY how you use it. When do you put it on? (clearly before  the wetsuit) Do you coat your entire body with it?

Please help before I put that thing on again

First, it is much easier to take a wetsuit off after it is wet.

That said, you should put on Body Glide anywhere the wetsuit could chafe (like the neck) and then anywhere it could get stuck (mostly the lower legs, but also forearms).  Don't be stingy with it.  Put it on right before you don the suit.

I've always heard this, but I went to two local tri's to watch last year, and neither one had wet suit strippers.  I'm thinking small local races might not, but bigger ones do????  Sorry for the hijack.

I think the wetsuit strippers are generally for larger or longer races.

For wetsuits, a lot of people use PAM. The cooking spray. All over BEFORE you put it on. I used a tiny little $8 bottle of something they sold me with the wetsuit. It's gone now, so for my next race, I will just pick up some Pam. Not the garlic-flavored kind though.

Bodyglide is more to prevent chafing. HAPPY TRI'ING!

I am a big fan of the body glide. It definitely helps with the wetsuit all though the wetsuit is easy to rip it off once it is wet. But the best part about bodyglide is You can put it on wherever you might chafe, be it during the bike or during the run And It stays on even after the swim.

heck, I like it so much sometimes I put it on when I'm just going to work.

uhh, Was that TMI?
