So, relative to typical Eagleman, you're saying it will be chilly, right?

Yes, keep your fingers crossed it stays that way.

Good luck everyone. I just read on another site that the water temp was 80F on Sunday. Hopefully, the rain coming on Friday will cool it down a bit before Sunday and make it wetsuit legal. Either way, will be a great day.

Water Temp per the buoy readings in Cambridge show 74.3 degrees. Should be a great weekend!

Looking forward to the race. It will be my first HIM. The next few nighttime temperatures should help cool the water some. Weather for the weekend looks favorable. Good luck everyone!

I'm getting really excited. Just did a practice OWS race last weekend across the Potomac, and it felt pretty good. I've also got a newish bike that I'm really enjoying, and feeling as fit as I've ever been. This will be my first 70.3, so I'm nervous, but feeling confident so far. Good luck to all!

Somehow I think they'll find water that's wetsuit-legal.

Prepare mentally for either way however, and you won't be let down.

This is my second go-around on this race, looking forward to cooler temps. Haven't been running much, but bike and swim are in pretty good shape.

It would seem funny to me to have a non wetsuit legal swim this year, with a decent 80ish high for the day, seeing as how last year we had wetsuits, then ran in 90+.

Sorry to say this is not a spectator-friendly course. Only place is at transition really, and there's not much of anything for spouse and kiddies to do. I don't bring my family to E-Man for that reason. Rev3 Quassy and Ironman LP are very family friendly.

Usually around January. Check the Tricolumbia website around then for the announcement.

On penalties and recorded times:

I got my first penalty yesterday, for drafting. Not arguing that point, I was too close for too long in bunched up traffic. I "served my time" in the penalty tent,

My times showed up not long after finishing, and were there for a few hours, then when I got home I went to look at them again for more stats, and while my name is there, there are no times listed, for anything.

I was only told of the one penalty, and served time, got the mark of shame on my numbers. As far as I can tell, that should be it. Hopefully this is a timing/stats issue.

Do they/can they DQ someone later for other violations without notification?

Not that it matters much, just want to know how the system works.

(Already emailed the RD about it)
