Was thinking about asking my wife for a couple of these for my XMas stocking.  If you were to pick two, which two would you pick?

HHNF (awesome 2x20', and it has GIRLS!), and I also like Downward Spiral.  But in Local Hero you get to race The Lion King himself!

Sorry that's 3.  You won't go wrong with any SF video in my opinion though.

Downward Spiral, There is no Try.

Then again, Fight Club is a good one, too. Revolver is just brutal. The Hunted is fun w/ a 20 minute climb in the middle.

Like someone else said, you can't go wrong with any of them. All good fun.

What type of workouts would you be looking for? They will all work you hard, but in different ways.

Most anyone will do well with HHNF as it's the 2 x 20. Most need more FTP development so likely something from among The Hunted, Angels, or Fight Club would work well with the duration of their intervals. The others work too, but it would help if you had a better idea of what you want out of the workout.

Just get the super pack that includes all of them! Seriously though, they are all good. You should probably read the descriptions of each video and picked which ones you want based on what your goals will be next season. Downward spiral, Fight Club and HHNF have seen a lot of action here. There is No Try (the newest video in the Sufferfest line-up) has also seen a great deal of rides. The Wretched is due out for release in early December! It will also be a good one! Good luck, but just keep in mind that if you're not suffering, you're probably not doing it right!

I am really sorry, i dont mean to hyjack the post but i am also thinking of buying some of these videos to get a more structured indoor trainning.

My only question is, i have a ver simple magnetic trainner (cycleops.. something-somthing i belive), it really has not much resistance i usually train with all the resistance from the trainner (it has a small lever), i get the resistance from the gears on my bike.

Is this how these videos work? with the resistance coming from the bike gears and difference in cadence or do i need a more "pro" trainner with different resistance levels for the climbs etc.

Thanks for the video recomendations, i was going to get the 3 pack set, i belive angel, downward spiral and the long cream!!

Sufferfest will work fine with your old trainer-just shift for more resistance.

Downward spiral and The hunted are probably my two favorites. As someone posted previously, they are all good. Pick any and you won't go wrong.

My favorites are HHNF and local Hero. The 2x20's in HHNF are enough to make me question why I own a bike.  Like other posters have said take a look at the descriptions and pick the videos that best fits your training plan.

^^^ This.  Punishing workout.  So my vote is HHNF and probably There Is No Try, though I'm interested in how the new one (The Wretched) looks.

I have a bunch of them (but not the newest one yet).  My favorite 2 are "The downward Spiral" for it simplicity and its brutality (when ridden hard) and "A Very Dark Place" for its variety.  I will say that "Hell Hath No Fury" is good just because its girls instead of guys

I have Angels and like it.  I'm sure they are all awesome.

10' over/unders, 3x8' climbs

The last one is on alpe d'huez.  He's got some great commentary too.  "What's about to happen is not going to be pretty.  Tell the children to go in the other room and turn away the mirrors" or something like that....they it introduces it and the wind is blowing and it says "Alpe d'Huez"...[Shudder]....it's pretty awesome.  Really motivating.  Than the attacks come and you are redlined and the quads are searing with pain about 4' in thinking wtf is happening to my vision, why is it so blurry...I can't possibly have 4' more to go.

If you do the watts you are supposed to, any of them are very hard workouts.

I'll probably end up with a couple more soon.

So far my fav's are HHNF (girls) and There is no try (story line)

Tied in with TrainerRoad they are some tough workouts. I usually have to back down the intensity unless I want to get sick at the end...

Local Hero is by far my favorite.

I will admit to raising my arms in victory after the final sprint(assuming I have the energy left to raise my arms).

At almost an hour and a half it's a decent length workout, changes things up throughout so you don't feel like you're stuck in the same interval, and the "story" is pretty funny.

I've gotten the best workouts from 'A very dark place'

It's deferentially one that you want a bucket for.

Just get the complete package.  My favs are probably Angels and Local Hero but I enjoy mixing them up or I get bored from day to day.  HHNF is good and it's nice to have some pace booty but the "let's talk about our feelings" cool down bums me out.  Downward Spiral is a good short butt kick.  They all have different advantages.  Don't think you'll be disapointed with any of them.  My last purchase was Very Dark Place and it's great as well.  They take up tons of memory so I have mine on a flash drive which is now full so I haven't bought any of the new one's coming out now.

X2!

If not, The Hunted is good and Downward Spiral. The descriptions are pretty spot-on on the SF website.

I just started using Trainerroad and the sufferfest videos with a PM. Awesome combo. Started with Revolver. Ouch. Make sure to keep the sound up on the TV to drown out the crying.

Seriously you can't go wrong with any of these. Really good stuff.
