Subject: What websites do you use to identify running races?

I'm on the organizing committee for the 2013 Elizabeth 8K in Charlotte (April 20, 2013; http://www.elizabeth8k.com/.  We are trying to identify websites and social media outlets to help promote the race.  I know people use runningintheusa.com and I'm also going to try to arrange some race entry giveaways on Run with Theoden's Facebook page.  It also looks like we need to update our race description here on BT.  Are there any other websites or social media outlets you use that would be good options for promoting the race?  Thanks in advance.

Hey Goose,

 

Have you tried the Charlotte Runners Meetup group, going to TrySports, Run for your life (they even have their magazine "Endurance"), Charlotte Running company.

There is also a NoDA brewing group that runs on Wednesday nights.

Word of Mouth goes a long way.

 

I think all of those might help

About 90% of the running races I sign up for come from http://www.runnc.com/. The notable exception being the Medoc Trail Marathon.
