So how boring is the course (or not?) Looking to get somethings on the dance card again next year.

i would say from the looks that boring would probably be an ok term to use, but i'll let those who have run the course answer more accurately.

and April ........ I'll dance on that card and we can bring back the Great Danes!

Depending on what one deems as boring, I would agree that the first part of the run is quite "boring" (very flat), but the scenary is nice along the flat trail.
It's when you get to mile 10 and have to run through the trail is when it gets to "liven up" a bit.  Very rugged and makes you work.  Then you climb the 40 foot tower to get to he turnaround point.  Very interesting run at that time.

I have never run the full (run the 1/2 a few times), but at different times I have run every inch of the course in training runs.  I agree that the first part (and last on out and back) isn't too exciting but its nice to look at.  While the course is generally flatish, it has an upward trend into Wales. Once you head off the paved trail onto the Ice Age trail it is good old fashion, earn your money, trail running.  That time of year has potential for snow/mud/frozen ground to add to the fun. 

Bonus: I'd come out to cheer the great danes.
