Subject: 1.3.2013 Thursday Training

Gooood Morning Everyone! This week is nearly over and I can't wait. So what is on the schedule for today? 5 am run for me this morning, 3 miles in the neighborhood. Pushed it pretty good, trying to see what the past few months of consistent running have done for me. It looks promising.

Enjoy whatever today may bring.

8-9mi run tonight.

Really trying to focus on the cycling for the next couple months. My running is coming along great but it won't matter if I get smoked on the bike!

Hi guys! I have totally lost track of the last few days! Today is our last full day on Oahu (sob!) My training today will consist of stand up paddle boarding and some ocean swimming! Spending the entire day on the beach! Tomorrow...back to reality...boooo!

A very easy 20 min run is all for me today to see how my body reacted, still trying to get over this pesky cold! Seriously cannot wait to get back into training properly again!

At -11 this morning during my normal workout period, I decided I better wait until it 'warmed-up'. I got a good fast pace 20min run in when the thermometer hit 10. :-)

Tried streaming a cardio workout, but after 20 minutes it wasn't doing much for me. I grabbed some dumbbells and did some upper body, plus some stability ball for core. By the end of the evening, I will have 1.5 miles walking to school and back, plus another 2+ miles run/walk with the dog.

8mi run this morning, just about to take off for my swim session. Just wrote the workout, and my core session after:

400 fr, 6x100 drill/swim by 25, 300 pull/200kick warmup

16x50 pull, 100 backstroke EZ, 8x250 3-5-7 stroke breathing by 50

200 cooldown

Getting into the brunt of my HIM New Orleans base training. Gunning for a 1:05/100m swim, 22mph sustained on the bike and an 8:00 min/mi for the run. Assuming 4min for transitions (which will probably be a bit much) that should put me just under 4:45

Bike Power Intervals on the trainer today.

20 min warmup
10x1min PIs at 135-140% of FTP, 2min RBI
10x30sec PIs at 140-145% of FTP, 30sec RBI
Cool Down

Legs are jelly...

5 mile run this evening.  It was cold, mixed rain/snow, and very icy in places.  Caught myself skating a few times and am lucky I didn't end up on my tail.  I can't wait to hop in the hot tub.

rest day today.  tomorrow is a 6.2 mile run at 5:30.  Love running in sub freezing winter weather.

Got a nice 4 mile run in last night with a group of ladies.  The stars were amazingly bright!  Had a great time until I face-planted towards the end (tripped over a crack in the sidewalk trying to be careful of the ice).  Got up and finished the run though!  I'm a little sore today and my nose and forehead are bruised, along with my right elbow and left knee.  The good thing was that I got the run in and didn't stop because I fell!  Also found a couple other ladies to travel and room with for the Indy Mini!!!!
