Races at Tellico Lake-Vonore, TN?

I dont know anything about it but I am doing the Atomic Man half there in Sept. So if you do participate I would greatley appreciate any information you can give. I do know its home of the Mastercraft Boat Plant. Sorry on the no help though.I also do know its a new venue because last years was so tough.

I did Atomic Man in 2005. Get ready for some hills. The lake was nice, unfortunately a monsoon came through the night before the race so water clarity was an issue then. The bike and run courses were fair. No incredibly steep hills, but no flat ground either. The first half of the run course was through a resort subdivision jsut north of the mastercraft plant was terribly hilly. Going south form the plant was pretty flat. All things being considered, I'm planning on doing Atomic Man again this year - the course is tough, but not impossible. Good luck

I plan on doing a tri there this summer. Looking at the schedule on Tennessee Triathlon Calendar, it looks like there is one on Saturday (Mach Tenn, I think), and then a Women's Only Wildroses tri, and then of course, the Atomic Man in September. I plan on doing this one for my first ever HIM, so I do hope it is challegning, so that I can gauge myself and depending upon the outcome, I will decide then whether or not to pursue a full Ironman the following year. I haven't heard much about these tri's either. I definately want to do the one in early July (not the Wild Roses, but the other one scheduled that day).
