The Wiggles.

They were the intermission show for Barney. You would thing that seeing a talking purple dinosaur is creepy. But that is nothing compared to four grown men singing "Fruit Salad" to a bunch of sugar rushed three year olds.

I took my son to that and I loved their show for what is was intended for.  Captain feathersword is actually pretty talented.

I took my kids to their show years back and it was great. They even played some adult songs for the parents like some Hendrix and Zeppelin. They are some very talented guys who actually put on a great show.

Did not realize there was a BT Wiggles Fan Club.

Aleka's Attic in Gainesville, FL back in 1989 (I think).  Yep, River and Rain Phoenix's "band."  Completely pretentious and horrible.  River might've been a fine actor, but they and the rest of the band absolutely sucked...at least that night.

I was working the show and had to deal with them (and their Mom) backstage before and after the concert.  Not fun.  Sort of ruined his movies for me, even though those have nothing to do with his foray into music.

It's about picking what your child listens to (meaning what I have to listen to) and making the best of it.  The show was surprisingly good.

I never understand the people that think men in kids shows are weird or whatever.  Are then convicted sex offenders or something or are most people just insecure about themselves and attack someone actually being successful?

Now Yo Gabba Gabba freaks me out.  The dragon/monster thing is way to far.

I saw Tool in 2006 (I think).  Terrible.  There was a big laser light show in the middle and I think the band members sat on the stage to drink beer during it.  Every once in awhile, one of them would get up, play a few notes on a guitar, and sit back down.  For like 30 minutes.  So not worth the ticket price.  I was seriously disappointed.

I really like Yo Gabba Gabba and DJ Lance rocks. So I am not sure where you get this men in kid shows insecurity you think I have.

My 15 year old daughter is special needs and her favorite shows are still all on Sprout/Disney kids so you name the Wiggles episode and I've seen it but you probably won't catch me quitting my job and following The Wiggles spring tour.

Why I don't I like them.....They are talentless hacks, they sweat too much on stage, can't follow basic choreography, and they look hungover and I can name 30 other kid oriented bands that are way better.

Scorpions: World Wide Live Tour (1980something)

Live show was an exact reenactment - song order, solos, shout outs to the crowd ("How are you doing tonight [insert name of city here]?!?!?") - as the live album they just released. So disappointing.

1989/1990'ish - Aerosmith and Tesla in ABQ New Mexico. Not sure what the sound guy was thinking during sound check but turning everything to 11 in a venue with bad acoustics to begin with does not make for a great sound. I think Aerosmith was 3-4 minutes into Dream On before I recognized it. My ears rang for day or so afterwards.

I certainly won't be a Wiggle groupie either but enjoyed their show and so did my son.  I bolded the part of your post to answer your question.

I've also heard this from other people as well.

I'm personally a big fan of Choo Choo Soul and Genevive... nom' sayin'

This is sad for grown men to argue about worst or best kids group.

Sorry to derail this thread OP

This last Madonna Concert, a couple months ago.  Not only was she 3 hours late, the show was just meh, then she changed the arrangement on a couple of her older songs to where I didn't even recognize them till they were half way thru.  I was disappointed to say the least.  Oh and ticket prices were expensive.

I heard that she was fined in London because she went on so late that the public transportation had already stopped running by the time she finished.

The Wiggles started life as a rock group....they are the most successful act I think in Australia!  They've just hung up their 'skivvies'.

Talking of having to sit through kids concerts I took my daughter to see another Aussie lot - Hi 5.  Truly terrible.  She loved it.

I want to update my worst concert ever after having conferred with my family. The absolute worst concert I saw was the B-52's outdoors at the NJ State Fair in 2003. Prior to the concert we had torrential thunderstorms and flooding, and they had the concert anyway. I literally had to put my son on my shoulders and walk through water to get to the seats. It t-stormed the entire concert and I was covered in mud. I don't even like the B-52's, but my oldest son and wife did, so we stayed. Only thing decent was they served beer.
