We're in again this year. I have some unfinished business with the Lamp Black trail.

I'm not doing the full Triple T, just the HIM on Sunday. I'm traveling/racing there with a friend, but she's doing the full. What hotels are people staying at?

We camped in the park last year, so no hotel advice to offer.

this year I am camping. Last year we stayed in a hotel. I think it was the super 8 or something like that. It was a pain in the butt driving back and forth because you have to pack up and leave. You can't keep your bike in transition for Saturday's races. You have to drive through stop and go traffic for a half hour to get back to the hotel. The hotel was nice for the AC , shower and soft bed. I think it might be easier just to go back and rest at camp though.

I'm in for this. It'll be my first HIM, then following it with IMCDA a month later. Looking forward to that bike coarse..I hear it's hilly (something thats hard to find in the Chicagoland area). Might be camping as well based on the what I'm reading here, plus hotels are extremely limited and the closest I could get is around 15 miles away..seems like a pain to try to pull that off.

R u allowed to wear the wet suit socks for this race. I fear the cold water after our crappy spring. Last year I didn't even use a wetsuit for the afternoon race

I hear they are expecting mid 60's. I guess that is better than high 50's. I think I can survive that. Hopefully!
