If they use the same run course, the second run is very hilly with lots of short steep climbs- one I think was about 20% grade and that was near the end of the course. I saw a few people with banged up legs/arms from falling so be careful. The race web site says it's 5 miles and the map of the course says 3.7- not sure which is correct. In either case, it isn't easy. I ended up going too hard on the bike last year and had a very difficult time on the run. The good news is they eliminated the part of the bike course through the park. I guess there were a lot of complaints about the condition of the chip and seal. The new course should make it a little faster/easier. See you there. |
