Good job

I will be there, but I am running with a neighbor that is just getting started so we will be doing the 10k. I think it is the day before.

Doing the 5k and the Ultra.

This will be the second medal, I heard they will integrate with the next star...

Doing the 5K and marathon.  But more importantly, like lisac, going for that 5th piece of medal pie!  5 years ago it was my first half marathon .

After this years star, they are going to a 3 year belt buckle that get bigger each year.  They are very cool and will have me suckered in now until 2016.

I'm in although I still have to register ... only my 4th star though, sigh.  And I don't want that generic looking one just to finish it off, so they just hang with all my other medals... already thinking of that hill at mile 9!

Oh my....sigh....those are some smart marketing folks.  You know I'm a sucker too!  We may wind up being the ones they feature someday for having run like 25 of the darned things by the time we're 70 .

I think the hill itself really is not so terrible.  It's more the fact that you can see it or about a mile as you make your way up Main Street.

Re: the belt buckle.

Is this a new campaign starting next year, when the star collection is over?

Something I'd be very interested in since I couldn't do the star.

Yo Tambien! Or something like that. Trip # 5 to ft worth for 26.2mi of completely unpredictable weather. Training was going great till about a week ago. Icing Achillies tendon as we speak.

The belt buckle is intruiging but I am ready to be done with ft worth. Come to think of it, kinda ready to be done with stand alone marathons for a while. But that star sure will look nice. This was my first ever marathon 5 years ago. Crazy.

Hope to meet some of you there!

Same here - and it was ON my 30th birthday! I thought it was the best way to celebrate

Less than 2 weeks - you guys ready?

Did a last "long" run yesterday and resorted to 10 miles on the treadmill as the winds were in the 45mph range. It actually wasn't bad at all.
