Comments: Best run I think I've ever had. Pee stop around mile 8.5. Started with plans to finish just under 4:00. Started with the 3:30 group (start time I listed at registration (prior to injury)). Got passed by the 3:30 pace group just past the start line and decided to keep with them until mile 4 as a warm up and then back off. By mile 4 I wanted to pass them, but decided to hold off until mile 13.1. Was still feeling fantastic at mile 12 so I decided to move on. Let my legs go and paced well under 8:00 until mile 20 when the physio kicked in, and slowed slightly. Never cramped, drank every time it was offered (2 cups/stop in last 8 miles). Drank CytoMax when offered. What would you do differently?: Leave the pace group if I'm feeling good at mile 6.5, or stay with a faster pace group. Post race
Warm down: Walked for around 10 min. Ate a banana, drank 20 oz of CytoMax, ate a bag of low salt potato chips. Tried to keep moving. What limited your ability to perform faster: Held back for too long. Last updated: 2008-11-15 12:00 AM
