Subject: New to tri at 50
Hi everyone,
I am new to the world of triathlons, having had my first taste at an indoor tri last year. I was on the swim team in high school and took up running about three years ago. I've been bike commuting for the past two years (not always easy in Minnesota) so over the past 18 months I've spent my lunch hours training on all three events. My biggest challenge is finding time to train. Oh, BTW did I mention that I am married and have 11 children? (3 bio, 8 adopted.) I look forward to sharing with you my experiences this year!

Welcome to BT!  Lots of good folks here to help and inspire you.  Most of us have time challenges, but can't imagine raising 11 kids.  Raising two kept me plenty busy!  My hat is off to you.

I also did my first tri at age 50.  That was back in 2004 and I'm going to be 60 in a few months.

Good luck with your training.

Mark

You are so smart to work exercise into your daily routine by bike commuting. 11 kids! Wow. I admire you.

Good luck!

PS I am 50+++
