Good morning!  Rest day for me--switched my off day so I have time to fit my new bike to the trainer!!!  I went way way over what I thought would be my budget (don't worry, my kids will still eat this month--ha!)  She is worth every dime! I got a 2013 Trek Domane 4.5. I'll post a pic today.  Her name is Ruby.  Laughing

Have a great day!

Oh, at my doc's appt yesterday when the nurse took my blood pressure she got a very concerned look on her face and asked "Is your blood pressure normally this low?"  I laughed and said "Well, I train for triathlons and run marathons" She said "Ooooh, that explains it...you're an athlete!"  That was sure nice to hear!  My resting heart rate was 49.

Two fridays in one week is a good week in my book :D

I had an APFT this morning with my ROTC unit. Scored 264/300:

54 push-ups (72 max score); 70 sit-ups (78 max score); 13:05 2mi run. 13:05 is the max score.

Have a swim session this evening if time allows and going to go on a hard bike with a nice easy 30min run for recovery in the afternoon.

Put up a picture of your bike! I haven't seen the model but with a gems name like that she's gotta look nice!

Have a 40 minute interval run scheduled for today, now I just need the ice that has coated everything here to go away!

Have a great day.

45 min on the trainer at 0430.  Too freakin cold for me to run plus the roads are terrible.

TGIF!  Speedwork in the pool.  I've focused mainly on medium and long sets to ease my shoulders into the season so this might be a bit of a shock to my system.   45 minute trainer ride in the evening.

My quest to lose 10 pounds is now over half accomplished.  I had lost six pounds before starting my final push to lose 10 so this is territory I have not seen in a long time.  This year in addition to my normal training I wanted to focus on getting a little leaner and pay more attention to my overall nutrition.

4.1 mile run @ 5:30am.  12 balmy degrees compared to earlier in the week...

25K training plan starts in a few weeks, then I'll have more distance variety than all these 4.1 mile runs..

Good afternoon all

Phisio this morning for 1 and a half hours, got cleared to try and easy ride on the trainer tomorrow, yippeee, and the cold has taken a hike so I am feeling pretty good today.

Kim.. Enjoy Ruby she's Red I am assuming, too funny about the HR I had the same issue being older My HR is a Bit lower to begin with but at the last Check up  the nurse about fell off her chair when she did mine it was 116/ 62 with a HR of 46, my New Doc was a bit concerned till I went over my training schedule with her then she went well OK that  explains it.

Have a great day all.

I will be on the trainer later today, 45 - 60 minutes I think. Was hoping to run but the weather is not playing along by the look of it.

After dealing with a sore elbow for a few days I went back to the pool again.  1500 yards of drills mostly concentrating on body position.  Will this ever feel natural?

Hello everyone

I hope you are all having a great Friday! A nice easy 1 hour in the pool for me this evening for a float inbetween my legs focussing on head positioning and breathing. Part of the reason i used the float was due to the fact the TOUR OF SUFFERLANDRIA starts tomorrow and figured it might be a good idea, as the next 9 days are going to take it out of me for sure...

Hope everyone has a good weekend

Saturday here already!  Yesterday one hour of Jorge torture, and some lifting. Yanti, I got tired just reading your workout. Sure hope you don't have a strenuous job on top of it. Today--attempt to run, and hopefully nice long swim workout undisturbed by students in distress!

This evening I did the opening stage of the Tour of Sufferlandria at 90%
