Subject: 1.30.13 What's Up Wednesday!

Gooooood morning!  Already Wednesday, this week is going fast!

4:15am:  50 minutes of various inlcine/speed repeats
50 minutes Upper Body Strengthening

Today is Winter Wear Day...pulling out a warm  fleece pullover!  Another comfy day of teaching!

Just glad we don't have a winter wear day. Tomorrow will be epic--not a theme day, but no power from 8:30-1. So the theme will be minimally dressed, hot, sweaty teachers! 

Finally got around to my workout (25 min. of strength stuff, one hour of Jorge fun on trainer), after long day of teaching and officiating/coaching at a swim meet. "My" little girls kicked butterfly and IM a**!  Very proud of them as none could swim it earlier in the season. So tired I literally almost fell asleep on the aerobars--while riding HARD. Maybe I should stop doing intervals with my eyes closed!

Didn't get back to the house until just before midnight last night (after a ridiculously late soccer game), a quick walk for the dogs and it was 1am before I was asleep.

Long story short - I didn't get my butt out of bed at 4.30 for the run I was supposed to, so I'm taking an extended lunch hour to get the 8 miles in I have planned.

A little bit of a sore knee, but I think it's from the running not a twist from the game last night,  it feels like muscle tiredness rather than damage so I think I'll be good.

5 K hilly route run hopefully today after work depending on a late afternoon work thing goes. Heel feeling a little less tender. Hamstring almost all better. If not today then tomorrow.

Greetings!  Got in a 42 minute trainer ride this morning consisting of endurance miles.  Running legs are not suffering from ITBS from yesterday's long run, yay!!!  Swimming at least 2400 tonight after work. =)

Hello... Just finished Sufferfest video Angels, thats right day 5 of the Tour complete. Legs were dead, absolutely dead! They were shaking after i finished the last climb. I am truely suffering now! 4 days to go!!! Bring on the PAIN

swam 46 minutes in the pool at lunch today.   After work will be a 4.8 mile run.  Looks like it will have to be inside because of thunderstorms in the area.

back from the 8 miles at lunch, not too sore after soccer last night.

8.37 miles in 1 hour 6 minutes. kept the HR down for the whole run.

Wednesday run with Tri Club:

2 mile warmup run to track

2x1 mile at slightly faster than 5k pace w/ 400m jog between

2 mile cooldown back to start

 

Total was a bit over 6.5 miles

Got my run in before the weather took a nose dive!  Had planned on a second workout with one of my running groups but they canceled due to the weather being bitterly cold.

4.05 miles this morning. SLOW but I'm healthy enough to be out there!

~1h 10min bike ride this morning.  Meat of the workout was 3 10min over/under intervals (95%-105%FTP).  Great way to wake up...

 

3K swim in the evening. REALLY focusing on swimming more often/longer.  It's obviously the lowest hanging fruit for improving for me.
