What are your tri plans for the year?

I only have two races planned so far: Beaverdam OLY in April and Raleigh 70.3 in June. Lots of work to do between now and then given that I haven't swam in more than 3 months and have really slacked off on the riding. But there is time and spring is in the air, so time to ramp it up.

So far I am only signed up for Raleigh 70.3.  I have no idea what else I want to do.

I haven't signed up for anything yet. I'm planning to race in the Beaverdam Olympic and the B2B Full. Anything else is a bonus.

I've got Shamrock Marathon in March and Raleigh 70.3 confirmed so far. I'm considering Beaverdam Oly, a HM, and another marathon later this year. Its gonna be run-heavy this year. Gonna get a solid run base built to help me get ready for my first IM next year.

Got 3 races planned at this point. White lake HIM, White lake Int, and Raleigh 70.3

The 1st two are just training for raleigh 70.3. Year has started a bit rough with most of january missed for various reasons. Hopefully I can get it together and get in a solid 4 months.

Me! Me!

I'm doing Boston (marathon) in April, Augusta in September, Pinehurst Int'l and B2B Full in October, and whatever races I can fit in throughout the year.

Really looking forward to this race season!

I am doing HIM Miami in October, my first Half!

Planning on doing some sprints / olys but still havent decided which. Probably adding a half marathon and maybe a Marathon in some point of the year.

My main focus is Ironman 70,3 Miami, I might sign up for Raleigh if I feel ready by then, is that sold out yet?

Not sure for me either. Right now I am concentrating on a BQ attempt in late May so 95% of my effort is focused on that.  Swimming and biking have taken a back seat lately (haven't ridden my bike outside since IMFL).

I wanted to work on my shorter course speed but I think the BQ attempt will derail most hard bike work.

Over the Mountain is out this year since it is the week b4 my marathon :-

Might start with Tri Latta in June. Been a few years since I did this one and a while since I have done a sprint.

Have always wanted to try Mission Man sprint in July

Lake Logan in August is almost a definite as that is one of my favorite races (and a favorite weekend destination).

Rev 3 Cedar Point half in Sept is almost a done deal.  Wife and I want an early end for tri season so we can get a clean start for fall marathon season and the early date works well.

Mission Man was my first triathlon. I love it- nice lake/setting with a playground for the kids. Rolling bike and a tough little trail run. And July heat. Makes for a fun day, and the support from the local church that is supports is awesome- you get these grandmotherly types running the food stands...never a bad thing.

I'm still recovering from a long 2012 season.  Started with the Du series, then was just bam bam bam all the way to Charleston Marathon.  Now I'm just idling for another few weeks.  Might be March before I get in the water.  Only other race I'm thinking of is Beaverdam Oly.

If u do Beaverdam, use the RaceReach coupon- 15% off. You just have to have it post on your facebook account that you are doing it, so not a big deal. There are 20 or so more coupons left for that deal...and only 30 slots left for Beaverdam.

As of right now, I'm registered for the Wrightsville Beach Marathon in March, Belews International in April, White Lake International and Double Sprint in May(gonna test the recovery speed), Raleigh 70.3 in June and B2B Half in October. Mission Man will also be in the mix since it is my hometown race. Love that course. I'm also considering Bandits Challenge, Stumpy Creek, Pinehurst, and the FS Half. Hoping to have it finalized by the end of March.

You flying or driving?  I want to go but it looks sooooo far on the map and refuse to pay $300 to ship my bike on useless airways.

My season is a bit up in the air, but it's book ended by the Boston Marathon with d00d and IMFL. I'm registered for Raleigh 70.3 but can't decide if I want to race it on short bike fitness. Maybe some sprints and an Olympic along the way. I just took my wife's new B16 to IOS Raleigh to have it put back together, so this summer is going to be about her getting hooked on tri and look out, she's a fish that can run!

Haven't decided yet, but flying and shipping the bike with Tri Bike Transport will probably be the option I choose.

See ya at Beantown, Jason! Man, wish I could have raced IMFL!

Seems like Beaverdam is a popular race this year. If Boston wasn't a few days before, I'd be there. That's a fun race.

Good heads up about Beaverdam running out of space.  I'm notorius for waiting too long.  I don't post in here a lot but it's fun to see that a lot of folks will be doing the same races as me...

Azalea Sprint, Tobacco Road HM, Beaverdam possibly, Raleigh HIM, Olympic nationals (if I decide to make the trip), Augusta HIM, and probably one more late summer Oly.

I am currently only signed up for IMFL in November. But if all goes well I'll plan on doing the following races:

HM March 16 in Charlotte

Kings Mountain Marathon April 27th

Latta Sprint in June

Stumpy Creek OLY in August

Augusta 70.3 end of September

I ended the season last year being a little burned out and have spent the last few months having fun with various classes at the gym vs. solely S/B/R.

I seriously need to get back into the Swimming and biking though so I do not have to suffer too much in FL in November Embarassed

2013 is looking to be a good year so far:

3/2: Run Green 8k (post long ride run with my girlfriend)

3/17: Ironman Los Cabos

3/24: Charlotte motor speedway Half Marathon (pacing my girlfriend...so it's really a recovery run)

4/21: Try Charleston 1/2

6/2: IM70.3 Raleigh

July: Maybe Triangle Triathlon as a relay

September: Rev3 1/2 at Cedar Point

Still figuring out the rest...
