Swim
Comments: Rocked the swim. No idea how I finished so fast. :) What would you do differently?: Get a freakin' wetsuit! Transition 1
Comments: Was numb from the swim ( 60F w/ no wetsuit ), so a little sluggish. What would you do differently?: First T1, so took it slow and steady. Will go better next time. Need to practice getting sand off feet and into bike shoes faster. Bike
Comments: Better than I thought. Averaged 18mph on mountain bike, which is cruising for big knobby tires and no aero accessories. What would you do differently?: Get a road/tri bike with aero bars. Transition 2
Comments: Dropped bike racking it, so had to detangle it and rerack it. Derf! What would you do differently?: Not much, did pretty good except for dropping bike. Run
Comments: Run felt slow, but I did about where I expected. What would you do differently?: Push harder. I still had some left at the end. Post race
Warm down: Walked for about a 1/2 mile. Then rode bike slowly for another 3 miles ( at a <10mph pace ) to get back to/from parking lot. What limited your ability to perform faster: Bike equipment. Training run to be better. First time tri'ing, so of course inexperience. Event comments: Rocked! I'm definitely doing it again next year!!!!!!!!!!!! Last updated: 2004-06-28 12:00 AM

Swam quick warmup ( water was COLD! ). Jogged about 5 min to loosen up after swim. Was generally nervous as all heck.
