Comments:

Not what I was hoping for. Based on training, I should be at least 5 seconds faster per mile. I know the speed will come with training, and I'll see the low 17:xx range soon.

What would you do differently?:

Focus for the year is getting to Kona. It's nice to shoot for some fast 5k and 10k times, but that isn't the real goal.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swam 4300 yards this morning - that really shouldn't have had much of an effect, though.
