Subject: Garmin Data Transfer - HELP
I have been having a lot of issues with the transfer of my data from my Garmin to my computer. Has anyone else been having this issue? If so, any solution. I currently have the Garmin 310XT.  I hold the reset button to save the workout and when I go to transfer the date, which is successful, the workouts are not on my dashboard. This is really starting to me off. Is there any solution.

Make sure you have a working internet connection BEFORE your plug in your ant stick.  Mine will pretend to upload, then the data disappears if I don't and it doesn't save and transfer later.  You can, however, force a re-upload.  Make sure you have that connection first, plug in your ant stick, let it do it's thing until it's done (but it won't automatically re-upload your lost stuff because it thinks it already has), then go to....I forget the menu options - either in history or in ant stick, there is a "force upload" option.  Works for my 405, anyway.

Also check to make sure that the workouts aren't showing up on April 1, 2007.  My 310 does this if I start a run before I've got 100% satellite linkup.  It doesn't know the correct date, which it gets from the satellites, so it defaults to the date above.  I uploaded a bunch of workouts that I couldn't find....till I started seeing mileage appear from before I owned the 310.

I just searched my activities from 2007 and there are all my missing workouts. It is mainly all my indoor workouts. Why does that happen?  Thank you so much for that tip.
