Pre-race routine:

Decided to do this race at 6AM this morning, so I got moving and headed to Evergreen to register by 7.

Event warmup:

2 miles jogging, hilly, and some drills, stretching.

Comments:

Unofficial time and no rankings out yet, but definately a PR since this was my FIRST open 5k :)

What would you do differently?:

Know the course and hills better. I wasn't mentally prepared for the last/ steepest of the hills. Although it was short, there were people in front of me walking up it and tha's disheartening...

Post race

Warm down:

ran an extra mile (Okay jogged it) then ate and stretched. Caught up with Cortino and Greg as well as Roger.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The heavy legs from biking yesterday hurt on the hills, but also my lingering cough was a little bother and my chest was feeling pretty dry.
