Pre-race routine:

Got up about 6 and had a banana. Not much else in the house. Showered and got ready to go. Not to exciting. As this was supposed to be a nice easy run.
Event warmup:

Hung out with my friend Eric and my wife. Nothing special.

I found that taking short quick strides (ala typical off the bike running) worked really well. I passes a bunch of people who blew up on the hills. Once I got to the second water station, I was feeling really fresh and strong, so I picked up the pace and ran pretty well on the way in. As I rounded the final corner, my wife yelled to try to break 25:30. Which I would have been happy to do. So I started sprinting. Well to my suprise as I came around the final corner I saw the clock said 24:30. 25:00 wasn't even in site, so I picked it up and sprinted harder. This was one of my faster runs. I was very happy, and feel I could have done even better. But I've worked out hard the last few days, so...
What would you do differently?:

Not much I think my pacing on the uphill to start was really good. I could probably push a little harder. And I need to learn to drink from the cups while running.
Post race
Warm down:

walked around and looked at the diferent booths.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much.

Event comments:

I probably won't do this unless I am just looking for a run on July 4th. While it was organized well, there just wasn't much to it and the course was kind of boring.

Course: The 2/3 of the course was uphill. Not the best course. Questionable if I would do this again.
