Let's get ready to rumble!

Augusta weekend is upon us...

If you know me, say hi! I'll be wearing a red/black desoto two piece and have an IM tattoo (whatever!) on my right calf. Race starts at 0830 and I'll be in the first (of five!!) male 35-39 waves.

Hope to see some of you out there!

5:49 here. We just had a baby 5 weeks ago so I have pretty much been a zombie for over a month now. All felt good until mile 5 of the run. Had to power through after that. Really love that course so it's on the schedule for next year. Now I just need to become a runner.

5:29 broken collarbone and all. Didn't feel as bad as I thought it would, but the 6 weeks of severely limited training leading up to the race showed.

Wow, some really fast times posted! This was my first HIM and i completed in 6:39:xx. Wanted to make 6 or 6:15 but since this was my first, not going to complain. Things broke down at mile 8 on the run with bad leg cramps. I layed back some on the bike but think i missed my nutrition somewhat which caught up to me on the last half of the run. Regardless, fun race, great course and i have lots of room for improvement next year.

Slayer is a beast!!!!! Congrats to all of you that raced, too!

That race was awesome! The temps were perfect, although the wind seemed to pick up hard midway through the bike. I almost got blown off on two separate occasions.

Lovely day to race!

thanks y'all. i last minute decided to race and had no taper and a massive training week so i was pretty stoked. more importantly it looked like most peeps had a good time and lots of smiles. D00d, hatcher, and many more here rocked it too and Ga Forum was well repped. Onward and upward!!!

PS this race was done on 1 packet of ucan and cups of coke at aid stations 7-12. No more than 250 cals for that 4:32. Ucan avoid sugar until the end too!
