Hey Everyone,

I searched through the gear reviews and questions to try and get some beta on headphones.. I am in the market for a good set of headphones and would like to stay under $75.. I need a pair that have the clip around them as the regular ones dont stay in my ears(think white apple headphones). The ones I am using right now are fine when I am riding on the trainer as i am not bouncing or turning my head a lot. When I run and start sweating I feel like i am pushing them back into my ears every 5 minutes.

I love the sony walkman wearable line, mostly because everything else I've tried is annoying and I hate chords.

They stay on through crossfit, hours of running and they're cheap right now because the waterproof ones are coming out in a week or two.

Agree that everyone is different, but I am pleased with the yurbuds.

They do make a version that wraps around your ears if you so desire.

I can't handle the iPod style ear buds, either.  For a long time I wore the old school Sony headband style headphones and they were great for staying put.  They just recently went out on me, though, so I picked up a set of JVC sports with the ear pods and ear clips (like a hearing aid).  These are even better - rock solid, better sound, and they don't move at all.  They were only $20 at Best Buy.

I've read good things about MEElectronics and Sound Magic.  Both are available at Amazon and you should be able to buy a clip separate if it doesn't come with one.

Yep that was me for a while. I switch to a pair that had the earbuds that you can push into your ear. They worked fine with i was in the gym lifting or on the trainer, but once a start running they start falling out.. I amd going to give the Yurbuds a try and see how I like those.

Yurbuds are great.  You can get a full set of headphones or adapters that work with different brands of headphones.  I have Yurbuds on my Bose headphones.

I'm liking the ME Electronics memory wire headphones - $19.99 at Amazon.  They have a thick wire that wraps around your ear to hold them in place.  And they come with 5 (!) pairs of ear inserts in different sizes, so there's a good chance they'll fit.  Like all in ear headphones, sweat becomes an issue, but any in-ear will have that. For me the stay in when wet, YMMV. Also they have thick audio wires that aren't as prone to tangling as every other earbud I've tried, which is a godsend. Sound is excellent for the price.

Also liked the sony sport earbuds with loop hangers ($14.99) - they don't go in the ear, but they stay in place on the outside of your ear.  Nice because sweat doesn't bother them.  Also since they aren't totally in ear, you can kind of hear whats going on around you for safety when outdoors.  Drawback is that you can kind of hear whats going on around you.

Yurbuds are awesome.  I bought a pair of the cheap ones before my last marathon and didn't have a problem the entire race with them.  And I sweat like a hooker in church.

Is this Heaven? No, it's Iowa.

I got these a few months ago and absolutely love them.  I run in high winds in Iowa all the time and they never come out.

sorry about the jacked up link.  I'm not very tech savvy.  I just went to bestbuy.com and typed in Ironman Headphones.

Matthews - 2013-03-12 9:16 AM try yurbuds. never fall out again.

The only problem I have had with my yurbuds is that I have accidentally lost a few of the earpiece covers by putting the set into and out of my coat pocket as I walk into the gym from my car.  Not probably an issue that most will have, but just one of my idio(t)syncracies.

I have the same problem.  If you call them, they will replace the covers for $9.99 + shipping (at least the last time it happened to me)

Went on my lunch break and got the Yurbuds. Just sitting at my desk at work and I tried them out. They seem like they have a really great fit.  Im sure the people who sit around me think I am crazy as I was shaking my head see if it could get them to fall out...  The warranty was very easy to fill out as well.

Thanks again BT nation for the great suggestions!
