I don't know.  Weather is starting to look slightly better.

A "Real Feel" of 54 at 8am.  Not bad.

This one is tough as far as clothes.  Both years I just wore tri shorts for the swim and then put on a jersey for the bike/run.  My first year I was so cold off the bike that I actually threw on a Zoot pull over for the run and then last year I didn't need it.

I'm thinking this year, a tri top for the swim and then have something handy if I need an extra layer.

Last year I remember my hands feeling cold on the bike and my toes regaining feeling during the run. Looks like it will be in the low 50s tomorrow morning. I didn't regret just wearing a tri suit, but the warm shower at the rec center was great afterwards.

My daughter and I have laid out our clothes, bike rack is on the truck, USAT cards ready, alarm clocks set, everyone sleep well . . . see you tomorrow morning.

Best weather I think for the 3 years I've done it.  Very little wind.  Great day.

My transitions were awful but otherwise made some gains in each discipline from previous years, so I'll take it.

It was my first time at riverwinds, great stuff. Serpentine swim was different but I think the waitign to start the swim was the worst, I was so anxiuos....haha but the bike and run were flat and fun, I ended up getting 3rd in my age group....though initially the results said I was 4th so I didnt stick around for the awards, but when I looked at the results later in the afternoon, I saw I was third....I didnt event realize that one of the guys in my age group placed 2nd overall which moved me to third.....I was so excited for my first podium finish(30-34), and Jen the director was super cool and letting me pick up my award tomorrow.......

Congrats to both of you guys.  3rd and 4th place is amazing after looking at some of the times that made the podiums in these age groups.

Jorgito, Kurt & Spider. Gents awesome times. I shudder to think I have to get myself to run 6-7 min miles to keep up with u guys. But try and train I will. Spider nice meeting you and hopefully well run into each other again. Also congrats to jorgito on the podium. If memory serves, kofian is Margo S. if so you hit it hard girl! Congrats on you podium. You are fast. I will be doing nj state sprint in July. If anyone is planning same, keep in touch and maybe we can meet up and ride/run brick the course before the race. Rob (bib 85)Can't wait till next year. This is a nice early season race.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  now that I have a descent base, its time to start putting in some real miles.  I might do another sprint later this year but I am really hoping to do an Olympic.  I was actually looking at maybe doing the Steelman Olympic in August.  Time for me to get a wetsuit now and practice my OWS.  It was great meeting you and was good to have somebody there on Sunday to talk to before the start.  Definitely calmed down my nerves.  I am sure I will see you around.
