Might be some good nuggets for those who're doing this later this year - my experiences from IM 70.3 Cozumel last month:

Glad you found it helpful - I tried to find as many reports as I could (in English) and didn't have much luck so I decide to write something for everyone else that comes along!

Does anyone have information on transportation from the ferry to hotels? I'm assuming there will be gobs of cabbies just waiting to make some bucks off all of us tourists.

Yeah, there's a taxi stand right outside the ferry terminal. You'll see it - hard to miss....find a bigger cab so it will fit your bike box easily. Most hotels are close (within a couple of miles) so it shouldn't be too expensive either.

It is upon us. Anybody know if we can swim at the park prior to race day? Any organized swims? I may be missing it but I looked on the site and did not see it.

Yeah, for the 70.3 in September there was a practice swim the day before (7-9AM). Very helpful and it seemed like everyone was there. I'd definitely suggest doing that.

I regret not being as active on this thread as I have for other races (It's definitely more fun when everyone gets to know each other a bit). This has been somewhat of a "different" training year/season for me and I just haven't been able to post as much...

Anyway, I just wanted to get on here and wish our little group the best of luck on race day....can you believe its just a week away!?! Our group will be getting into Coz on Thursday and staying until the following Wednesday. We are staying at the Cozumel Palace (thanks to several recommendations from BT'ers).

If anyone puts together a watch list....My bib is #310.

Good luck everyone... trust your training and enjoy every moment!

Just to make you all feel better - we talked to a 30 time Ironman who said that Sunday's race conditions were harder than any other Ironman she had ever done (Including Kona!). She ended up dropping out due to tendonitis.

How's everyone recovering? My feet are in horrible shape - I had bloodied feet the entire run course from mile 2 on.

I had a solid race.
Who can say anything bad about the beautiful water on the swim.
I enjoyed the bike, but that is my strongest event. It would have really been hot, if not for the wind.
I had a good run. The rain was a welcome distraction, but sure made the road slippery.
I am thankful I had no issues with blisters, since my feet were wet most of the time. They were shriveled though.
I would do Cozumel again.
