It's 10 weeks out, so I guess I need to register and start focused training.
Anyone else doing this one? I hear good things about it.
As I mentioned before, I'm gonna try to get a group out to swim in Lake T on Sundays basically starting on Easter Sunday (He is Risen, now let's swim!!). So if anyone wants to toss in some other workouts in here, have at it. Safe Training everyone!
I will be there. First CapTex, though did TriRock last year so I think the course is similar. I'm in Edinburg, TX so I don't think I'll get to swim with ya'll.
great course. really nice smooth roads with great traffic protection make for a fast bike. Weather is anyone's guess. They have had really hot, really nice and rain over the past few years.
Last year, the run was short. But no one was complaining...
jldicarlo - 2013-03-19 1:08 PMI saw this thread and thought, "Oh, I should do that!" then I realized my bike will already be on it's way to the Middle East...no bike, no tri! :D
What size do you need? I have a large roadie I would loan. Or you could rent one from Mellow Johnny's. of course, you'd have to reserve it now.

It isn't worth THAT much effort. :D I had already resigned myself to being done with the 30-34 AG anyway! :D
Plus I am a shorty. My new Surly (deployment bike) is the 42!!!! I am darn near the smallest size in almost every bike out there...

Haha
Yeah, my 58 would be a little big...
My biggest bike I've ever owned was a 51cm Cervelo...and that was actually too long for me. :D
That's fine dewayne I can push you in the water next week Definitely doing this race. It'll be my first Olympic distance, even though I've done several sprints and will have done a half iron by then x)
I'm semi interested in this one. I did the similar race a few years ago (pre-TriRock) and it was alot of fun. Don't know if I want to deal with the crowds though!
It is similiar to the Austin Tri Rock. Both nice venues. I like the bike better in Austin Tri, but Cap tex has a better run course. More of the large festival type of Tri's. Participants are pros to 1st timers. Both well done and good times.
I waited to late this year and I know your going to Marbel Falls, but we got to do Kemah next year, I hear great things about this race.
