Pre-race routine:

Packet pick-up on Friday. Chip pick-up Saturday morning before the start. Had a cup of coffee on the drive to the start.

Race day was my wedding anniversary, so my spouse and I decided to do this race tegether

Comments:

Nice easy run. I let me wife drive the pace. She started to pick things up during the second loop and ended up negative splitting the race by about 3-minutes. She ended up 2nd in her age group, missing out on first by about a minute.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Nice race!

Course: Two loop course on a mixture of pavement and crushed gravel trails. Come two-way traffic. While billed as a trail run, these trails are about as non-technical as they come. The entire course is pancake flat.
