Overcast
Total Time = 1h 30m 32s
Overall Rank = 97/3189
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 20/221
Pre-race routine:

up early, good breakfast eggs, oatmeal, fruit. protein bar and banana 30 minutes prior to race.
Event warmup:

a couple short hikes up/down the canyon edge (the road was filled with people :))
Run
  • 1h 30m 32s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 06m 55s  min/mile
Comments:

Went out a little fast but settled back down within a couple miles. Had to work through a mental block around mile 5. Was able to work through and keep pace. Felt good about the last 2 miles. Much better finish than my last Half. Can't complain. New PR by 2 minutes.
What would you do differently?:

start a little closer to the front. It was jam packed and took a couple hundred yards to spread out and get some clear road in front of you.
Post race
Warm down:

walk around the park/finish area twice. very light stretching.

Event comments:

Great race. Spectacular scenery. Open road. Well organized. This one should be on your to do list at least once.
