Subject: Orthopedic / Doctor Recommendation -- Knee Injury

I've been struggling with a knee injury since July 2012 (was hit while on a training ride and landed on my knee -- have had x-rays and MRI's, and also had it scoped back in January, but have not had luck with a diagnosis / treatment so far).

Now that it's been almost eight months and I've done basically everything (PT, ART, surgery, rest, etc) and my doctor still has no idea what's going on or how to treat it, I'm looking to get another set of eyes on it.

Wondering if anyone has a suggestion/recommendation for a doctor or orthopedic (preferably with an endurance sport background) who treats knee injuries.  I live south of Houston but would consider traveling outside of this area for a reputable doctor.

Dr. Winfield Campbell at the West Houston/Katy Methodist is great, but it's a bit of a haul for you.

I am going to piggy back on this thread. My wife's itband is hurting and she needs a doctor in the Conroe/woodlands area. She is trying to talk me into the chiropractor and I would rather her get diagnosed prior to that.

Well, I thought I had found another doctor, but I received a call this morning letting me know that the doctor is "not interested" in my case.  Seriously??

So back to looking for suggestions.  Anyone??

I've used Dr. Provenzano in Houston (I-10 and Campbell) and he was great.  His PT guy, Harris, is a runner and will help you get back to running pain free as quickly as possible.

For The Woodlands chiropractors, both Dr. Chase Banks and Dr. Eric J. Lebouef are great and work with a lot of runners and triathletes.

Love Dr. Banks and Dr. Lebeouf. They are both Chiropractors. I used Dr. Keith Johnson at Sterling Ridge Orthopedic and Sports medicine for my last knee injury. He had me up and running withing four weeks of major knee surgery.

i go to Spine & Sports Therapy here in Houston..they are in the Prosperity Bank building on San Felipe/Mid Lane. ive been going and seeing Dr. DeWalch since last March. he was reccomended by my coach due to a knee injury. he had me healthly for IMTX and i still go to him for routine work during training. all of the staff and Doctors do triathlon so that was a plus for me.
