Subject: Good Ortho Sports Doc?

Can anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area recommend a very good sports ortho doc?  For the knee? I'm looking for a doctor who is active and runs- just so they will understand where I'm coming from I've never had luck googling and picking a doc on my own so I definitely want to go off a recommendation!

Thanx!

William Garrett at Duke Sports Medicine did a great job on scoping my knee. There was never any question about getting me back out there as soon as possible. I highly recommend him. I'm a 57 y/o BOP age-grouper, and he and his staff took me as seriously as if I was 30 years younger and FOP. I wouldn't (won't) go anywhere else.

Dr. Ted Armour in Cary is a triathlete and Ironman finisher...and a great orthopedic surgeon.

Thanks for all the recommendations!  I saw Dr. Jones at Impact today.  He said it's definitely a tracking issue (no surprise because that is what I assumed was going on) and referred me to PT for the next 2 months.  Said if that doesn't fix the problem then I'll need to re-evaluate since surgery would be the only way to fix it.  I'm optimistic that with taping and PT I can get running again.  I don't want to go the surgery route at all.

Have any of you see Abby the PT there?  He highly recommends her so I'm hoping for some miracles

Jeff Vijay is the head PT there. He works magic. I'm sure Abby will be fine as all the PTs work together.
