Subject: and I used to cut pics from magazines

I used to think I was so creative in my school days.  I would cut pictures from magazines, make diaramas, and write poetry and music.  I could even do oragami.

But today's youth seem so much more advanced, I feel like time is passing me by, and no matter how I try to keep up with technology, I am left in the dust.

Here is a school project that shows how school kids present these days.

THAT was awesome. Yeh I hear ya but we did what we could with the technology at the time! I remember using an overhead projector and thinking that was awesome.

Yep that was quite good - not sure I'd call that "average" student level production value.

Pretty sure I saw Tom Hanks and Wilson in the neanderthal segment.

My kid is part of a team of 3 students designing and building a solar powered water purification system as their independent research project in high school engineering class.

I think I made a metal toolbox in shop.

Yes, but think of how much more resourceful you had to be to convey your message if the exact picture wasn't in your parents' magazines. You'd have to talk to neighbors or relatives to use theirs or figure out a way to say what you meant in another fashion. All of the pictures in that video could be had by a quick Google search. It takes technological talent and a knowledge of history to put it together, but the actually acquiring process is much easier. I'd think that some of the resourcefulness and creativity have been lost.
