Run
Comments: This was HARD. We had had a snow storm the night before and it was still snowing when we started running. The trail was paved, but not plowed. The first loop was the worst and it got better throughout the day. We wore Yaks to help with slipping. I'm not sure how it would have worked if we didn't. The first loop hurt a lot and Tamy even commented, "I wish I was with a bunch of quitters, because I would be done now". Funny, Tamy! We ended up walking quite a bit throughout the miles, but we made the best of it and #2 half marathon of 2013 was done before we knew ... or after a really long time. What would you do differently?: Get someone to pick us up afterwards. The trolley wasn't running at the end so we had to walk to our cars and it was REALLY cold. REALLY. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold. Snow. Footing. Last updated: 2012-12-13 12:00 AM

Parked, took trolley from car to start of race. Tried to stay warm in the tent. So cold.
There was nothing warm (up) about it.
