I just registered for this event. This will be my first Tri. I can swim, I can bike, I can run: now will put all 3 together.

I've been doing some bike/run bricks with moderate success and increased my pooltime. Leaving the office early today to get in a 10 mile ride.

I was planning on doing some of the Lake Terramuggus Triathlon Series sprints. They are only $25 each and happen every two weeks starting in June.

good luck on the housatonic sprint!

lp, I was looking at those as well. Unlike Housatonic (cancelled in 2012), they published their routes already and look like a nice course. I was looking at #2.

I will probably not be at this one, but certainly CAN recommend the Teramuggas sprint series. I did 2 last year (my first completed sprint, just after my first IM last summer). Very laid back, nice course, beautiful lake which was warm in the summer with rolling bike and run course but not unmanageable. Well marked and supported too.

Good luck in Housatonic!

My friend and I did a practice ride/run of the HV Sprint to be held this Saturday. Map is somewhat grass-roots but descernabile with careful eye. Many hills with some rough patches but otherwise a good bike route. The 5k run is completely uphill for the first 1/2. Glad I've been practicing on hilly terrrain. I'll let you know how it goes.

Neglected to mention that the water temp of Candlewood Lake was 55.8 degrees at the surface by my measure.
