Quentin also is known for taking the most HBP by a wide margin, led the league the last 2 years despite only playing 200 games total. This. You intentially hurt a player (cheap shot, fighting, etc) you should receive a suspension that's equal to what they miss due to injury. Regarding hitting a batter....no pitcher will ever admit to hitting a batter on purpose. However, was told by a MLB pitcher that it does happen on puropse but he added "if I do it on purpose, you're going to know" |

That reminds me of when Pedro was accused of head hunting and he pretty much said "If I wanted to hit you in the head I would have." As for Quentin though, that's just bad form. He is either leaning into pitches or crowding the plate or whatever, but there's a reason he's getting plunked more than anyone else. No way the game was dictating that Greinke was going after him on purpose. Looks like Beckett is going to have to step up.... good luck with that. |

And if he really didn't mean he sure as hell didn't show it with his reaction. I'm not saying Quentin is right either. Although I will say I've never see him do anything like this when he was here with the Sox. But he always gets hit and hell it seemed like we where always in the top 4-5 teams getting hit. It has to get to you. I don't know what should happen. But I bet the next game between the two will be interesting. |

If there is revenge to be made, your pitcher will know what to do ;-) You charge the mound and injure the pitcher? - it's on you. Side note: it didn't look like he did everything he could to get out of the way. Looked to me like he saw it coming and turned slightly so the ball would hit the meaty part of the arm and not hit, say the shoulder or elbow... just sayin. |

Apparenly, Carlos is pretty experienced with taking one to get on base... |
