Comments:

Race start time 9:00AM was delay by 15 minutes because of fog on the course. Beautiful and scenic course, but hilly, no long or steep hills but I guess rolling describes it best; the hills just kept coming at you and tended to wear on you later in the race. Did not walk a hill or make any stops on the run. Lucky I didn't, the second place finisher in my age group finished just 7 seconds behind me! Carried my camera with me and took pictures on the course as I ran; a first! Had to put the camera away between mile 8 & 9; needed to focus on the race and my run in the later miles of the race.

Fueling -
Full 4 day load of Race Day Boost prior to race.
One RCS and one Mito before leaving hotel for race
One gel 15 minutes before race start
One gel and one Enduro @ mile 6
One gel and one Enduro @ mile 10
Drank about 8 oz of Heed during entire run.

Nice job!  My husband and I ran the course and if you think none of those hills were steep you are one tough runner!  Congrats on the age group win- 7 seconds is pretty darn close:-)
