Good thing this didn't start as a spring group--would the subject line have enough room for all the digits?!

Here we go - part four!  Wow.  We can certainly be vocal...that's for sure.

Hope Froggy can find us...

Little Scooby - half Corgi half German Shepherd - his attitude is totally shepherd!  He goes mad at all other dogs and bullies them in the doggie park.

He likes to chew stuff - doormat, hose, blanket, two bags of garden potting mix....dead birds..

He loves a walk and can be clever just chooses to be dumb.  We all love our Scooby - he is good when I go for a run, he just does a fast trot to my run.

Well I'm headed down to Galveston in the morning. Getting excited! I've never been to an ironman event so I'm looking forward to going to the ironman store and other booths.

Woo-hoooooooooo! Number 4!!!!  (I know, it takes so little to entertain me....)

I took 3 tests today at school, then did a 5.2 mile trail run at Folsom Lake (dodged a few hale stones too); Sadly, the lake is still very low, which means I am stuck starting my OWS season at Lake Natoma, which is SUPER cold (at all times, but more so right now!)---I'll start it next week maybe...Innocent

Nevertheless, it was a good run.

And there's the number six.

My answer is - don't go to bed.

First thing I do when I wake up, is grab my phone (and my glasses!) catch up on facebook (MACCA GROUP) then BT!  Plus any overnight messages!

Spending way too much on overpriced Ironcrap is an essential part of the experience! If it helps any, I've actually found the stuff to be surprisingly durable--belts, shirts, bags, tri shorts, etc.

GO JONATHAN TEJAS!

PIKKATI PUPPY IS SOOOOO CUTE!!! I do think puppies are cute

Mini-Manatee cousin Jahe Kitty (who is working on getting re-named DeathWish) is growing by leaps and bounds and, like all the Funny Farm family, suspiciously seems to do better in my absence. Ha ha!

No, I don't think she's cute. She's an awkward furry alien with oversize ears. And like most kittens (mine, anyway) she is UGLY and LOUD and STINKY. Like human babies. Come to think of it, like a lot of adult humans too.

ponderingfox - 2013-04-04 8:54 AM

Had another great run tonight in my taper.  Three easy 8:00 miles.

I'm going to start some speedwork after the HM so I can shift to my next goal, which is a sub-20 5k.  Anyone have advice on how to do that?

Yes. Train for a marathon and run a 5K in a year or so.

I'm not actually kidding. You're a fast runner but with (relatively) little base on your legs, especially recently.

As for speedwork, feel free to (and you should do) run "sometimes hard" -- hills, strides. But at this point, I wouldn't add what most people think of as formal "speedwork."

KIRSTEN. 60x50

holy hell Batman, you are Manatawesome!!!!

That would be my nemesis no-way-uh-uh I am NOT doing that workout. 50x50 is my LEAST favorite set in the whole world. It literally drives me insane. I would rather do 100x100 (in a 50m pool) or 12x200 fly. In any pool. NO WAY 50x50 and DEFINITELY not 60x50. You are an ANIMAL! A Manatanimal!
