Run
Comments: ran the whole thing, which was my goal for the day. a little slower than I expected, but considering my previous long continuous run was 20 minutes, I suppose I can't complain. What would you do differently?: push a little harder on the third mile Post race
Warm down: walked around, had some food (they put out a big breakfast spread). won a visor in the raffle. found out that from the massage/PT people that my hip pain has to do with a problem in my lower back, so now I can get that looked into and hopefully clear it up. What limited your ability to perform faster: the fact that I've been running for only six weeks. so I'm happy with what I did today. next time will be better. Event comments: very well run race! night before, major anxiety related chest pain. husband helped me relax by asking me what the worst thing was that could happen - we settled on my pants falling down and tripping me just short of the finish line, exposing my naked butt to all and sundry. that absurdity helped me realize that I was taking this all too seriously.
slept OK, got up very early and drove to quincy. ate a bagel. met some other BT'ers and tried not to be nervous.
stood on line for the portapotties. 1400 women = long bathroom lines
