Pre-race routine:

Ate bagel w/peanut butter, and a hard boiled egg, 3/4 cup Chap-a-chino, and 1/2 cup gatorade. Also took Claritin-D prior to race.
Event warmup:

Stretching, short run, 3 potty breaks.
Run
  • 17m 31s
  • 1.86 miles
  • 09m 25s  min/mile
Comments:

Started out too fast.
What would you do differently?:

Start out slower, run my own race, not worry about others.
Transition 1
  • 02m 30s
Comments:

Slow to change shoes...probablly should not sit down to change.
First one ever, so it's alright.
What would you do differently?:

Get quick laces, don't sit down.
Bike
  • 54m 12s
  • 24 kms
  • 26.57 km/hr
Comments:

I rocked on the hills! Felt great on the hills that killed me pre-race! Gave me a confidence and energy boost!
What would you do differently?:

Take more water. Also, take another gu prior to end of bike.

Try to undo my shoes prior to ending.
Transition 2
  • 01m 34s
Comments:

Left transition area wearing my helmet...WHAT A DORK! I threw it in the bushes, then worried about being disqualified for it.

Didn't get my visor on (to sheild me from sun) because I am a dork that did not take off my helmet...

Took some gatorade prior to leaving for run...This was smart. Also, ran out of transition area.
What would you do differently?:

Take of my helmet before leaving transition area.

Run
  • 19m 19s
  • 1.86 miles
  • 10m 23s  min/mile
Comments:

WELL, I totally psyched myself out w/ the helmet thing. Should have shaken it off and ran. Got cramps in my calves. Still think it was a mind thing.
What would you do differently?:

TAKE OFF MY HELMET BEFORE LEAVING THE TRANSITION AREA!

HAVE FUN! Don't sweat the small stuff.

Run and not be so quick to give into "tings"
Post race
Warm down:

Walked, searched for water. Luckily I had some gatorade left.
Had some water and a banana, felt full so did not consume much. Had a good lunch (chicken and pasta)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Psyched out.

Hot.

Event comments:

Some did not get shirts or socks (in goodie bag), because they ran out. I registered early so I did.

They ran out of water after the race...None for the slow people like me.
