Subject: List of endurance-related documentaries

Hello BT,

Since I have no interest in television (don't own one), and since inspiration can come from many different sources, I decided to find some documentaries to watch on my computer. I was thinking we could put together a little list and perhaps people would stumble across something they might enjoy.

I'm a big fan of watching documentaries and why not find some dealing with what I/we love

I'll share what I've found so far and you guys can contribute if you want.

- Running in the Sun: documentary about the Badwater ultramarathon.
- What It Takes: Follows 4 top triathles on their road to ironman world championship.
- Ultramarathon Man: documentary about famous ultrarunner Dean Karnazes
- Running the Sahara: Pretty self-explanatory I think.
- Triathlon: Through the Eyes of the Elite: As far as I understand it's a documentary about triathlon leading up to the year 2000 Olympic triathlon. I haven't watched it yet
- Race Across the Sky: Leadville Trail 100 MTB race (Lance Armstrong participated in this 2007 race).
- A Sunday in Hell: Paris-Roubaix classic

I know there are many others, and I'm eager to read your recommendations.

Great thread. I like watching these documentaries. They are informative and motivational.

On the 1989 Ironman. Not only Allen vs. Scott, but a great segment on Dick Hoyt

Pretty good film. I Ashley this "race" will only get more and more popular, the guy that won crushed everyone though.

FELTGood - 2013-04-11 2:53 AM To the OP: are those found on YouTube?

I know documentaries are sometimes uploaded to YouTube (often in 1-5 parts or something). Some of them might be there, but I don't know for sure. I watched a short'ish documentary on Badwater on YouTube, but the one I listed in the OP is significantly longer.
