Which event are you doing if you are doing and one suggestion for me as this will be my second Half Mary?

Run lots of hills between now and then. I'm doing leg 2 of 3 of the Heartland 39.3 series Sunday then another HM the week before the 5150 so that's enough halfs for me.

Great race and atmosphere. Downtown races have nowhere to go but uphill, so be prepared. I am doing the same series as Reece, so I am HM'd out, plus it is always the weekend before KS 70.3.  I would suggest posting your training on BT, so when you ask about training, we can see what you are doing and make suggestions based on that.  Good luck.

I love Hospital Hill, even though it's pretty punishing.  Typically great swag (no exception this year...the jackets look sweet) and a well run race.

Unfortunately it's the weekend before the Kansas 70.3, so I'll be skipping it again this year.

I slipped out of the Heartland series and signed up for HH.  Unfortunately it is the weekend before KS 70.3, so I take it nice and slow as the last big workout before the tri.

If you want to make it an A race, take Jon's advice and run hills.  A lot of hills.  Typically it's humid on race day as well, so hydration will be key.  If you are not acclimated to running in heat and humidity, it may be a shock to the system.

I keep the heart rate in very low zone 2 and just let the time fall where it falls.

I am in the same boat as Ryan. I am treating it as a last slow training run before Kansas 70.3. Great race, Beth the RD does a wonderful job.  Train on hills, hills and more hills. Find a long hill and do repeats.
