Only if you interfere with their finisher's picture.

I'm guessing that thread did NOT go as the OP intended

I'm in and when I finish, I'll take a nice 15 minute break and then cheer on the rest of the field coming in to the finish.

3 or 4 bottle hydration pack?

I'd go with 4, just to be safe.

I prefer the camelbak. You can get them with dual compartments for water/perpetuum, which is necessary for a long 328ft race.

Could somebody please post your Garmin data from this race.  I'm interested, but it might be too much endurance for me..

Cool idea to get people started.

Once they realise that they typically have to walk that far from the parking lot, they will build up the courage to take on a 5k.  We all know that a 5k is a gateway drug to Sprint and Olympic triathlons.  After that, you are full blown Lindsey Lohan.

...and since it's being run by a brewery, start it off with a pitcher of beer and require participants to be naked.  Wait.. it went from an event to a typical Saturday evening in college.

we did a tri like that at my 30th birthday - you swam across the pool, got out, did a lap around the pool on a little kids tricycle, then ran a lap.

guess how much vodka was involved?

Don't they do that for publicity at IM events?  Something like 24 yards, 1.12 mile, and 260 yards.  Something like that?

Anybody planning to use Galloway?   I'm thinking 4m run / 1m walk.

I've been thinking about a new strategy to save my legs. My right leg will run, while my left leg walks. Then when my right leg gets tired, I can switch running to my left leg, which will be rested from walking.

There's a race in VA that's .24 mi swim, 11.2 mi bike and 2.62 Mi run. It's a fun day

what percentage will be wearing the race T-shirts as they run the race?  Higher or lower % than your average 5K?

I'm one of the organizers and I want you all to be assured that there will be nutrition available to help you through this course! "Complete Nutrition" will be on hand to give out samples, and if that's not enough, "Lamar's Donuts" are available at the 1/2 way point "SAG" stop....no worries! Oh, and costumes are encouraged (there are trophies...), it's National Super Hero day (who knew?) After you get your finish medal - you get a free hotdog and a beer - what's not to love?  Sign up today to get in for $30 - tomorrow it goes up to $35 - but ALL the proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.   Thanks, hope to see you Sunday at the crack of noon.... Suzie
