Run
  • 52m 42s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 08m 30s  min/mile
Comments:

The plan was a 7:30 pace, which I believe I would have hit if it weren't for the trails. Didn't want to push too hard at the start.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Bike
  • 1h 26m
  • 24.8 miles
  • 17.30 mile/hr
Comments:

I wasn't ready for the hills. It felt like I was going up or down the whole time.
What would you do differently?:

I have to train more on hills
Transition 2
  • 00m
Run
  • 34m 52s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 11m 15s  min/mile
Comments:

This was a tune up race, and my legs were hurting a bit from the run. My goal was to not get passed by anyone in my age group, but other than that go slow. Didn't want to have to bail on workouts on Monday.

Event comments:

This was a fun enough race for early in the season. Definitely helped me identify a problem I've got on the bike. Unluckily I probably won't do this one again next year, because traffic getting home was terrible. Took 4 hours rather than the normal 2 because of Spring Break traffic leaving Florida and Gulf Shores.
