Try Wheeling Wheelmen, Arlington Heights Cycling Club, and Chicago Tri Club (which has rides out of Buffalo Grove).

I am not (yet) affiliated with any of those groups, but I borrow heavily from their maps when riding.

Golden Legs Running in Mundelein is starting their summer cycling group next Sunday May 12th. Groups meet at MHS.   There are mandatory safety meetings on Thursday and Saturday this week. Something like 75 people are registered to participate in the whole program, with a wide range of abilities and mileages. 

If you'd like, PM me and I'll send you a copy of the emails detailing the program.

Also, Fitness Pursuit in Grayslake is another option.
